Do they know it’s International Migrants Day? For the two million migrants in Thailand threatened with deportation from December 14^th onwards, December 18^th, International Migrants Day has no meaning at all. It is Day 4 of a crackdown which if carried through will bring injuries and deaths in the panic of raids and in the overcrowding of old trucks used to deport people to the borders, it will disrupt the education of children and the security and stability of families, it will destroy the livelihood of whole villages in Burma.

What is Radio 1812?

Radio 1812 is an initiative launched by December 18 in 2006. It is a global event that brings together migrant groups and radios from around the world to produce, broadcast and share programmes celebrating the achievements and highlighting the concerns of migrants worldwide.
