Audio: Listen and Share

In this section you’ll find info about listening to the programmes available on this site, downloading them to save on your PC or i-Pod or about how to upload your own audio programmes about migration on Radio 1812 site.

  • To listen to programmes online, you just need to click on the arrow and the programme will start. You do not require any specific software to listen to programmes on line, however please make sure that Flash-Plugins are installed on your browser to be able to click on the play/pause/stop buttons.

    You can also browse audios available by author, language and title.

  • To save the audio file on your PC simply clicking on download audio file and follow the prompts.

  • To upload programmes, you need to register with Radio 1812 first. The registration is easy, fast and free: just click on Create a New Account in the User Login box on the left hand side on frontpage. A login and password will be sent to your email.

Once you have your login and password, just enter them in the Login box and you are now able to upload your audio content simply by clicking on Upload content audio on the left handside menu. Fields such as title and genre should be filled automatically as you upload your file. However please make sure you submit as much information about your programme as possible by filling in the corresponding fields in the upload form such as country, language and theme. This will help users to find your audio more easily when they use our search function or when they browse audios by country or language.

If at all possible, please provide your files as mp3s, 32 bit, 44100HZ or if you prefer you can send your files to radio1812@december18.net and we will upload the files for you. Once published, your programme will appear on the Audio Programmes part of the site. You will be able to make changes to programme details anytime after uploading it.

For radio professionals, we also strongly encourage you to rebroadcast programmes accessible on this site on your own station or to upload your own programmes for listening and sharing with the Radio 1812 audience.
