Carlos is an immigrant student who just arrived from Mexico and is struggling to adapt due to the constant discrimination in his school. His best friend Jamie, is a person who also faces discrimination for identifying as transgender and is in constant conflict with the society that assigns him a role for his biological sex. This story explores how discrimiation affects mental health, particularly of youth, and the possible solidarity that can exist amongst individuals who are marginalized for diverse reasons.

Migranten en nakomelingen van migranten vertellen er u aan de hand van familiefoto’s over de impact die migratie heeft gehad op hun familie en op hun persoonlijke ontwikkeling.

David Danelo is a former US Marine who served in Iraq, which inspired his first book, Blood Stripes: The Grunt’s View of the War in Iraq. His new book, The Border: Exploring the US-Mexico Divide, is about the way we view Mexico. It makes our border issues more emotional and more complicated.
