As the world marks the 9th International Migrants Day, hundreds of OFWs from various regions of the world will march to Mendiola to protest the Arroyo administration’s failure to protect the rights and advance the welfare of migrant Filipinos and their families. Families of stranded and distressed OFWs will joint the action to press on the present regime to bring home their loved ones this yuletide season.
The OFWs will carry placards displaying slogans in different languages to show the unity of Filipinos abroad against Arroyo’s labor export program.
To display their rage, the protesters will throw paint bombs on a giant picture of President Arroyo and her cohorts in DFA, POEA, and OWWA.
